Mary Diemert, PA-C

Mary graduated from Weill Cornell Surgical PA program. She received her clinical and surgical education in New York City and relocated to the Central Coast after her training. Her background includes work in physical therapy as well as the operating room as a surgical PA. She enjoys educating patients on their injuries and conditions to help provide them the information they need to recover well. She works closely with our surgeons to provide a team centered approach for the best possible outcome.

Mary works in the Santa Maria office with Drs. Spoo, Blackburn, Kasper, Castello, Kistler and Dusch.

Stacy Meirau, PA-C.

Stacy Mierau, PA-C

Stacy received her undergraduate degree from Occidental College.  She then worked as an EMT in Los Angeles County while completing admission requirements for PA school.  She was in the inaugural Master of Science Physician Assistant program at Western University of Health Sciences, graduating in 2002.  Work experience includes neurosurgery, orthopedic spine surgery, and pain management.

She has been specialized in orthopedic surgery/joint replacement since 2015.  Orthopedics is her favorite specialty, as she enjoys the positive outcomes and dramatic improvement in patients’ quality of life with the successful management of orthopedic conditions.  In addition to diagnosis, clinical management, and injection treatment, Stacy assists in joint replacement surgeries.  She seeks to establish confidence/trust with patient education based on her training and experience.  She enjoys the relationships developed with patients throughout their treatment.

Born and raised in central California, after living in Reno, Nevada for 10 years, she and her family moved to Pismo Beach in 2012.  Outside of work, Stacy enjoys the beach and family time.

Bailey Mena, PA-C

Bailey Mena, PA-C

Bailey Mena began her academic career at California Lutheran University (CLU) in Thousand Oaks, CA. There she participated in women’s water polo and conducted research with the Self and Social Interaction lab, which she presented at the Western Psychological Association two years in a row. She graduated from CLU with Latin Honor Magna Cum Laude in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Health and Wellness Application. Bailey then went on to work as a medical scribe in the emergency department at Kaweah Health Medical Center for 2 years before beginning her journey at Chapman University’s PA program in 2021. During her time at Chapman, Bailey volunteered alongside her physical therapist colleagues within the university to evaluate rehabilitating stroke patients, as well as volunteering with MedFest through which she helped to complete sports physicals for participants in the Special Olympics. Her clinical training took place throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County. She completed her clinical training in December 2022. Bailey is a native to Visalia, CA. Outside of work she enjoys cycling, being near the water, and taking her dog to the dog park.

Elizabeth Spears, PA-C

Elizabeth Spears is an experienced physician assistant who has worked in our community since 2008. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Cal Poly and went on to earn her Masters in Physician Assistant and Masters of Public Health from Touro University. She is a San Luis Obispo native and is pleased to be giving back to the community that has given her so much. Elizabeth believes that educating patients on their condition and available options helps her and the patient find a treatment plan that is right for them.

Elizabeth works closely with Dr. Otto Schueckler and Dr. Sean Devine in both our San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach offices.
